My sister and I exercised our American right to visit an old prison recreationally and enjoyed Alcatraz island.

Look how close San Francisco is! The inmates couldn't swim that???? JK there were sharks in the water, let's get real.

Al Capone was sentenced to Alcatraz for income tax evasion (not murder or anything).

This was the library, and certainly one of the only times you will find me in one. Alcatraz has a self-guided audio tour included with your ticket, which is pretty comprehensive and really awesome. I haven't worn headphones like that IN A MINUTE THO.

The prisoners had little peep windows to see outside.

Those little white specs are really fat seagulls, the extent of wildlife at this National Park.

Someone told me "When you go to Alcatraz, check out the garden the inmates kept" - what a green thumb!

I have a friend that collects bobble heads. I was going to get her a few custom bobble heads but now that I see they have Dexter bobble heads I am going to get her them. She is obsessed with Dexter. She has been trying to get me to watch it for the longest time now. Thanks so much for sharing!
